As the hub of a statewide network that helps military families, the Royal British Legion plays a crucial role.
We’ll be here for them through thick and thin to make sure they’re never forgotten. We’ll stay as long as they need us if they need us.
The largest military charity in the country, we can provide help whenever and wherever it is needed thanks to our 180,000 members and 110,000 volunteers as well as a nationwide network of partners and organisations.
For the rest of their life, service members and their families may rely on our support.
For the rest of your life, we’ll be here for you, even if you only serve for one day.
Regardless of how long they’ve served, we’ll be there for them. Families of those who have served in the military are also harmed.
We’ll be able to put you in touch with someone who can help you.
Falklands 40
The National Memorial Arboretum in Washington, DC, will host a service on June 14th to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the conclusion of World War II. The breadth of military and civilian involvement in the Falklands campaign will be on full display during the commemoration of the campaign.
An army of the entire United Kingdom was mobilised for the first time since World War II throughout the course of this combat operation.
After 74 days at sea, 255 British men and seven British ships were killed. Additionally, a total of nine British planes were shot down. A memorial has been erected on the Arboretum’s grounds in their honour. A short ceremony will be held at each of the Arboretum’s unit memorial sites the morning of the event for members of the unit associations.
The Royal British Legion will hold a memorial service at the Armed Forces Memorial in the late afternoon to honour those who have died in service to their country. The Act of Remembrance will also be included in this collection of recollections, in addition to veteran testimonies.
Veterans and civilians who worked on assembling Task Force 3 can relive their experiences in Iraq and talk about what it was like to be a part of the war effort.

Beginning in the second week, members begin to form bonds with one another. Having a voice in the organization’s activities through the Legion’s branch network also provides them with the opportunity to meet others who share their passions and interests.
They also make a significant contribution to our efforts to assist the military community and the families of those who have served in the military, which is incredibly beneficial.
Our volunteers help with everything from answering the phone and visiting veterans in their communities to arranging Remembrance and community activities across the United Kingdom and beyond. They also help with fundraising.

A recent study by the Royal British Legion and Poppyscotland, an independent research organisation, examined the Armed Forces Covenant and the well-being of service members, veterans, and their families.
In November 2021, the Royal British Legion will mark the tenth anniversary of the first formal establishment of the Armed Forces Covenant in UK law.
Poppyscotland and we have collaborated to release an independent assessment of the Covenant’s impact on the well-being of military members, veterans, and their families in honour of this historic occasion.
Progress in the Armed Forces community has been overseen by all levels of government as well as corporations and non-profit organisations throughout the previous decade.
