In October of 1990, Sophie Mirman and her husband, Richard Ross, launched the first Trotters store at 34 Kings Road, Chelsea, London, SW3 4UD.
Trotters was the first retail establishment aimed specifically at kids. The store has everything a customer might possibly need, from a gorgeous hairdressing section with a big fish tank to a superb selection of clothing, footwear, books, and toys. The place is usually bustling with activity and is a true one-stop shop. Trotters is well-known for its in-store shoe fitting plane and train, both of which are staffed by expert shoe fitters.

Though we now have 5 stores in London in addition to our online store and concessions at Harrods and Liberty Department Stores, we remain the same family-owned and -operated business we were a quarter of a century ago, dedicated to providing excellent customer service and a fun shopping experience for both parents and children.

Due to popular demand, Trotters has broadened its target demographic from 0-8 years old to 0-12 years old. Since Trotters is committed to bringing its customers only the finest products from around the globe, it often introduces new product lines. You won’t find any of our apparel anywhere else; it’s all unique to Trotters.

The Northcote Road and Turnham Green locations followed the success of our original shop, which first opened in April 1992 at 127 Kensington High Street, London, W8. We first introduced our website to the world in the late fall of 2010, and then we opened a physical location in Westfield London in October of 2012. Sophie and Richard collaborated on the launch of the Tie Rack in the United Kingdom, and later went on to found Sock Shop and Trotters.
