The first Trotters store, located at 34 Kings Road in Chelsea, London, opened its doors in 1990, marking the company’s official debut. The company was founded in 1990 by Sophie Mirman and her husband, Richard Ross, who are both entrepreneurs.
Trotters is the only store of its kind in the world, to our knowledge, to specialise solely in children’s merchandise. Books, toys, and even a hair salon complete with a fish tank are all available for purchase at the store, in addition to a variety of other items and services. Because it is a one-stop shop, it is simple to find and purchase anything you may require. A Trotters aircraft or train shoe fitting will always be completed in-store at a Trotters retail location, unless otherwise specified.
With five London storefronts, an online store, and concessions at Harrods and Liberty department stores over the past quarter-century, we have grown tremendously while maintaining our dedication to providing excellent customer service and an enjoyable shopping experience for both parents and children. We are pleased with our accomplishments.
After seeing a rise in demand from current and future customers, Trotters has broadened their target demographic to include children from 0 to 12 years old, as well as infants and toddlers. Trotters’ continual search for the best items on the market motivates the company to expand its product line, which it accomplishes through the acquisition of additional suppliers. Due to the fact that we do not have a physical location, our products can only be purchased through Trotters.
Following the opening of our first two stores on Northcote Road and Turnham Green the previous year, we established our second store on Kensington High Street in April 1992. This was our third location overall. Our new Westfield London store officially opened its doors to the public in October 2012, exactly one year after we launched our new website in the autumn of 2010.
