Tikiboo UK Ltd was founded in May 2014 by Faye and Daniel Jobbins, a newlywed husband and wife team. Faye, who comes from a sales and marketing background (as well as being a fitness instructor and an electronics engineer), and Daniel (a Creative Digital Developer and technical web guru) came up with the idea for Tikiboo shortly after their wedding.

Faye’s frustration with not being able to find fun and exciting gym wear was the inspiration for the concept. As a fitness enthusiast, Faye discovered that she was spending more time in gym clothes than she was in regular clothes, and she desired clothing that stood out from the crowd.
When Faye became dissatisfied with the traditional pink and black combos that dominated the gyms and was unable to find any colourful activewear clothes in the United Kingdom at a reasonable price, she looked further afield and began importing bright clothing from Brazil and Australia. With the addition of high shipping costs and import duties, this quickly became an expensive habit.
Faye then had an inspiration and decided to collaborate with Daniel to design their own line of wild and colourful leggings to sell in the United Kingdom.

The concept for the brand’s name came to me completely at random.

“We needed something different, something silly but memorable enough to stick in people’s minds.
While trying to come up with words that would work well with the word ’boutique,’ the name Tique-bou came to us by accident when we rearranged the words ‘Bou-tique’ and ‘Tique-bou’. “After a few hours of tinkering with the concept, Tikiboo was born!”

Daniel began developing the website shortly after, and shortly after that, he designed the brand logo.
After finding manufacturers who could bring our designs to life, we were satisfied with the final products after a few tweaks.

Faye and Daniel were completely taken by surprise when the website went live in February 2015 after months of hard work. People immediately began purchasing (and adoring) Tikiboo leggings!

Faye and Daniel were initially picking and packing all orders in their living room, while also juggling their day jobs and the Tikiboo business.

In-house production included all photography (Daniel photographed and Faye modelled), packing, physically transporting sacks of packages to the post office, creating marketing campaigns, writing product descriptions, social media posts, SEO optimization, customer service and returns management…literally everything was done by the two of us!” There were weeks when three hours of sleep per night became the norm. “We were like Tikiboo robots,” says the author.

Their daughter expressed an interest in getting involved as well.

“Our daughter adored the leggings, but they were too large for her to wear at the time. She eventually persuaded us to begin work on a children’s range. Eventually, these became extremely popular at her school, and all of the girls began to proudly strut around in her designs!”

Their house was literally overflowing with leggings as the demand for Tikiboo increased.
It became physically impossible to expand any further in those conditions, and they quickly realised that the company was quickly growing to be much larger than the two of them could handle.

“We had to let go of many of our initial roles for the sake of our own sanity as well as to be able to direct the company’s future growth.” We now have a number of external teams working with us to achieve our objectives, including external photographers, models, marketing agencies, and public relations teams.”

Tikiboo eventually relocated to a warehouse, where a team is now in charge of the daily picking and packing of orders, ensuring that they reach their destinations as smoothly as possible for their customers.

Tikiboo creates vibrant activewear products that are bright, loud, and fun, allowing people to stand out from the crowd while wearing something that can instantly become a talking point with those around them. Tikiboo is a brand that specialises in providing colourful activewear products that are bright, loud, and fun.

When people see others wearing our products at events and start talking to them, we often hear about how they met and became friends because of their shared love of Tikiboo.
As a result, Tikiboo has become more than just about us or the leggings; it has become about the community spirit and bringing like-minded, passionate people together (all with a love of fitness and bright, fun clothing).
Customer photos of themselves wearing Tikiboo that they upload to our social media channels are greatly appreciated, and we try to repost as many as we can. Seeing how much joy our products bring to others is what motivates us and keeps us focused on our goal of expanding the brand.”

Luna Leggings With Pockets

This updated version of our best-selling Estrella Legging features a new waistband that is more comfortable and flattering against the body. This high-rise, 7/8-length style is made from our compressive Letelux fabric, which features four-way stretch for maximum mobility, as well as moisture-wicking and quick-drying technology.

However, if you find yourself in between sizes, we recommend going down one size rather than up one. During your workout, you don’t want to be caught with your leggings pulled up. Leggings that are constantly sliding down your legs is a sure-fire way to ruin your yoga flow.

Leggings are a group of leg coverings that have evolved over time to include many different styles. The term leg warmers or tights has come to be used in modern usage since the 1960s to refer to elastic close-fitting high-rise garments worn over the legs, typically by women. Men’s clothing, typically made of cloth or leather and wrapped around the leg all the way down to the ankle, has been referenced since the 18th century. Leggings were typically used to refer to infants’ leg clothing that was worn with a jacket in the nineteenth century, as well as leg-wrappings made of leather or wool that were worn by soldiers and trappers during the Civil War. Leggings made a significant comeback in women’s fashion in the 1960s, drawing inspiration from the form-fitting clothing worn by dancers. After being popularised by the widespread use of the synthetic fibre Lycra, as well as the rise in popularity of aerobics, leggings gained even more prominence in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, eventually making their way into streetwear. Leggings are a part of the athleisure fashion trend that began in the late 2010s and will continue into the 2020s, which is the wearing of activewear outside of sporting activities and in casual settings.

If you want to be on the safe side, pair your leopard print leggings with a solid top or a denim shirt. In this case, solid colours will perfectly complement the edginess of your leggings, while denim will add an extra element of edginess to the entire ensemble.

The Leonisa High-Waisted Compression Slimming Leggings are the best anti-cellulite leggings with tummy control on the market. In addition to concealing cellulite all the way down the leg, these ultra-high-waisted leggings feature an inner layer of PowerSlim technology to provide additional sculpting support around the stomach as well.

Chemical engineer Joseph Shivers invented Lycra (also known as spandex) in 1958, and the first Lycra leggings were manufactured in 1959. In the 1960s, the fashion industry embraced the slim, stretchy pants (later known as leggings), and well-known designers such as Mary Quant and Emilio Pucci paired them with the mod shift dresses that were popular at the time.

As long as you’re comfortable and following social standards for what’s appropriate in certain situations (e.g., not wearing leggings that are inappropriately sheer in front of small children), you’re good to go, honestly.

The following are the most frequently cited reasons for women to wear yoga pants or leggings: They have a good feeling. Yoga pants are extremely comfortable to wear all day and all night because they stretch well and fit snugly to our bodies. They are exceptionally well-suited to the shape of the body, particularly the buttocks.

Leggings are considered pants, so it isn’t as if your children aren’t dressed in pants. It isn’t revealing unless it gives your child a camel toe or something along those lines. It’s fine if people can’t see your children’s private parts or if they feel uncomfortable around them while they’re wearing leggings.

Leggings are comfortable to wear because they can be worn around the house and without shoes, and you want to look and feel good all of the time. Wearing leggings at home or with your favourite sneakers is a great way to unwind! All of this contributes to the extremely comfortable nature of the athleisure clothing.

Wearing running tights to sleep – or even compression tights – should not be a problem for most people. As long as your friends are getting a good night’s sleep, what they wear to bed shouldn’t be a big deal. Quality sleep is critical to maintaining a healthy work-life balance, so no matter where you sleep, make sure you’re getting enough of it each night.

Leggings appear to be the only bottoms that tween girls are willing to wear these days, and with good reason. Their simplicity, availability in a variety of colours and patterns, and ability to stretch for a mile are all pluses. Furthermore, they are equally as suitable for wearing underneath dresses as they are for wearing on their own.
