Using a modern fleet of cruise and fast ferries, including the famed Ulysses and the only fast boat on the Irish Sea, the Dublin Swift, Irish Ferries provides up to 16 crossings each day on the routes spanning the Irish Sea.

The overnight crossing from Ireland to France is serviced by Irish Ferries‘ brand-new W.B. Yeats up to three times per week throughout the year.

Irish Ferries presently operates up to 30 daily sailings between Dover and Calais, and they also serve the islands of Inishmore, Innisfree, and Inisheer.

Irish Ferries is the largest maritime transport operator in Ireland, having transported over 1.54 million passengers and 401,000 cars in 2019.

Isle of Innisfree

Irish Ferries has a long history of safely transporting customers from Ireland to the United Kingdom, from Ireland to France, and now from Dover to Calais. Up to 10 times a day, the island of Innisfree travels from Dover to Calais across the English Channel.

It is their custom to honour great Irish writers by naming their ships after them, and the Irish poet, dramatist, and prose writer William Butler Yeats (1865–1939) is the author of the poem “The Lake Isle of Innisfree,” from which the ship takes its name.

They’re excited to have you aboard the Isle of Innisfree, a ship that has been sailing the seas for nearly half a century.
