Nordgreen was created in 2017 by Pascar Sivam and Vasilij Brandt with the intention of making a sustainable business that would also develop a line of elegant and practical designer clocks. The concept for the collection that Nordgreen would eventually develop came from Chief Designer Jakob Wagner, who has won multiple honours for his work with businesses including Bang & Olufsen, Hay, B&B Italia, and Cappellini.
The Danish family name Nordgreen is a portmanteau of the words “Nord” and “Green.” The concept of the “Nord” is fundamental to who we are as a nation. We wear green to show our commitment to environmental sustainability.
The Nordic countries place a premium on natural resilience and aesthetics. There is a hardwired moral imperative to take action to improve society and the environment.
